Open Volunteer Positions:
Communications Volunteer
Responsibilities:
- Spend 1-2 hours per month researching topics relevant to undocumented individuals in Indiana, including policies, mental health resources, and educational opportunities.
- Create a monthly blog post and newsletter, requiring an additional 1-5 hours depending on the length and complexity of the content.
- Upload the monthly blog post to our WordPress site (training provided if needed).
Requirements:
- Preferred experience in communications.
- Ability to work remotely.
Time Commitment: 2-7 hours per month.
Supervision: Volunteers will report to the Board Secretary.
Events Volunteer
Responsibilities:
- Attend community tabling events as requested by the Volunteer Coordinator (schedule varies).
- Assist with fundraising events when needed.
- Respond to volunteer requests sent via email for both community events and fundraising activities.
Requirements:
- Flexibility to volunteer 1-6 hours per month (depending on event needs).
Time Commitment: 1-6 hours per month.
Supervision: Volunteers will report to the Board Secretary.
Website Maintenance Volunteer
Responsibilities:
- Spend 1-3 hours per month updating website content, managing plugin updates, and optimizing SEO.
- Occasionally translate website changes and updates as needed.
- Ensure the website remains user-friendly and accessible.
Requirements:
- Preferred experience with WordPress (training will be provided if needed).
- Attention to detail and a basic understanding of website maintenance.
Time Commitment: 1-3 hours per month.
Supervision: Volunteers will report to the Board Secretary.
